Shaheed Sudesh Kumar Memorial Inter Village Volleyball Tournament organised

Jammu, Jun 24: Shaheed Sudesh Kumar Memorial Inter Village Volleyball tournament was conducted at Village Uparla Kalan by the Army from 18 - 23 June 2018. The competition witnessed energetic participation from villages in the vicinity of Kalith Field Firing Range, namely, Uparla Kalan, Khalki Kalan, Gajuban, Kharah / Katial Simbal, Seri Palai, Chajuwal, Kalith & Manna. The tournament witnessed keenly fought matches between the teams. Many local talents have also emerged out of this sporting event.
Kaleeth team won the finals defeating Khalki Kalan team in keenly fought match. Seri Palai team came third in the closely contested competition. Trophies and Prizes were given to first three teams. Players of all teams were given complete volleyball kit. First three teams were presented with track suits and prizes worth Rs 20,000/-, Rs 10,000/- & Rs 5,000/- respectively. The locals conveyed their appreciation for conducting the tournament and providing them an opportunity to showcase their sporting talent.
