KNIT organises Independence Day celebrations

JAMMU, Aug 13: Kick starting 'A Week Independence Day celebrations' Kotwal National institute of Teaching, Bharat Nagar, Talab Tillo organised a culture program and quiz competition in the school premises. The activities were formally launched by the Director of the school Prof J L Kotwal. The quiz competition in which students of IX &'X classes took part was based on subject 'History of Independence from 1857 to 1947'.
Four teams viz Sover-eign House, Independence House, Democracy House and Republic House, comprising of five students each took part in the competition. Malvi Arora, Palak, Simridhi, Sakhi Rana, Anisha of Independence House and Manyaveer Singh, Vishwarjeet Singh, Royal Singh Rana, Rambhir Singh, Rahul Sudan of Republic House were declared the joint winners.
The quiz competition was conducted by Mr A K Koul Mrs Anju Jain Ms Asha Kotwal & Mrs Hansi. A colourful cultural program based on patriotic group songs like Mera Mulakh, Sandeshe Aate Hei & Eh Watan Aabad Rehe tu was also presented. Prof Kotwal congratulated the students and the teachers for their earnest efforts in preparing such a thought provoking program. Principal Mrs Bimla Billoria also spoke on the occasion. The whole program was conducted and organised by Mrs Anju Jain & Mrs Leena. Refreshment was also distributed among the students. The week long program will culminate on Saturday the 18th August.
