Sat hands over encroached Play Ground to locals

Jammu, Aug 13: A friendly football match was played at Saini Mohalla area of Talab Tillo which was inaugurated by Former Minister and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA). The match was played between DC XI and MLA XI in which approximately 30 players participated. Pertinent to mention, the match was held on the same ground which was earlier encroached by the Land Mafia and after the direct intervention of Sat Sharma , the land measuring 15 kanals was handed over to the locals for a play ground for which the locals expressed their gratitude towards their MLA.
The match was a draw and both teams scored one goal each.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that this ground was meant to be used for playing purposes for locals which was earlier encroached by the Land Mafia and they covered the boundaries from every side as well which made it difficult for young boys and girls and senior citizens as well to find a place for leisure and extracurricular activities.
He said following his directions, the Deputy Commissioner ordered for proper demarcation of land and after following the legal procedure, the land was handed over to the locals with proper documents and was released from Land Mafia and on the occasion, the locals thought of organizing a football match on the ground to start the series of events on the ground.
Sharma also stressed upon involvement of more and more youth in sports activities to keep their mind, body and soul fit and he also stated that youth of today has a very great potential and he must use it for the betterment of society and must stay away from ills of society including Drugs menace which is a serious problem in today's date.
District President Ayodhya Gupta, Mandal President Jeet Angral, Sat Pal Karlupia, Adv Rajesh Gupta, Gurcharan Singh, Rajesh Saini. Kuldeep Saini, Rajesh Kumar and several others were also present.
