Congress Party will bring back lost peace & prosperity in J&K: Congress

VIJAYPUR, Aug 13: Former Minister and newly appointed District President Congress party Manjit Singh Sunday appealed people to support Congress party to re-establish peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir which has been lost during previous Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).
Manjit Singh was invited in a function organized by the Congress party leaders and workers at village Palatan Morah Rajpur Koller in Vijaypur where the locals hailed the AICC for the appointment of former minister as their district president in Samba.
Speaking on the occasion, former minister Manjit Singh said that people have come to know about the real face of BJP when they ruled in Jammu and Kashmir because they failed to fulfill their promises and unemployment touched sky. In the industrial areas where locals should have been large share, the Congress Party's district president alleged that BJP could not asked the industrialists in Jammu division to employee locals.
"Instead of ensuring employment, the locals were shown doors by the industrialists in BJP-PDP Government. Locals became unemployment from employed," said Manjit Singh.
He said when he was the minister, he ensured that particular ratio is ensured where the industrialists and factory owners more employment to locals under pressure from then Government.
"Time has come when people should realize and raise their voice against the injustice meted out to the unemployed youth and labour class who are facing injustice from industrialists who have established their units on the land given to them by the locals," he said.
He said that labourers from other states are given enjoyment and the locals are allegedly facing discrimination.
