One day awareness camp held at NCC Camp

JAMMU, Aug 13: A one day awareness/demonstration programme held at NCC Camp, Nagrota, which was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu under the able guidance of Muneer Ahmed Khan, IPS, Additional Director General of Police Homeguard/Civil Defence & SDRF J&K and close supervision of Anita Pawar, Dy.SP, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. In the awareness camp the NCC cadets were given the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, Emergency methods of rescue, fire fighting alongwith demonstration by the Civil Defence Instructors.
Colonel S. K. Bajarnia, Commandant J&K 1st Bn NCC Srinagar and Lieutenant Colonel B. S. Choudhary, NCC Camp Commander highly appreciated the role of Civil Defence and they advised the cadets to become good human beings to serve the society by joining such organization. At least 450 NCC cadets of Kashmir Province and staff members attended the awareness programme.
The main aim of the awareness programme to facilitate the NCC cadets and staff members with regard to preparedness of disaster Management and importance of First Aid, rescue techniques during any natural calamities and manmade disaster.
Paramjeet Kumar Chief Warden & Thakur Ranjeet Singh, Dy. Chief Warden, Civil Defence Jammu were also present on the occasion.
