GLS Public School celebrates Independence Day

JAMMU, Aug 14: G L S Public School celebrated the Independence Day with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. The tricolor was unfurled and a number of programmes, including dances, patriotic songs and speeches were organized by the students under the able guidance of the teachers.
The function was presided over by Manisha Manhas. She was supported by Sanjeevni Verma, Neha Mishra, and Vaishali Khajuria. Speeches on this occasion were delivered by Amitoj Singh and Jai Singh and Pallavi Balowria stressed upon the need of equality between male and female child. The whole atmosphere was charged with the patriotic feeling with the dance presentation by class 10th girls namely Rupinder, Shamli, Siya and Shalini.
The function concluded with the redition of National Anthem and "Vande Matram" and "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" slogans. Indeed it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and a day of commitment towards making India a better place to live and experience freedom, peace and unity in its diversity.
