APS Rakhmuthi celebrates Independence Day

JAMMU, Aug 14: India is a cradle of human species, the mother of history and the grandmother of legends and of tradition. The most valuable and the most instructive material in the history of man are treasured in India only, said the American Author, Mark Twain for ' Incredible India'.
The Independence Day of such an amazing nation was celebrated with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm by the staff and the students of A.P.S Rakhmuthi in its school premises on 14 Aug 2018. The event commenced with N.C.C cadets leading Chief Guest to podium for the inaugural ceremony. The show commenced with lighting of traditional auspicious lamp as a tribute to mother Saraswati- Goddess of Knowledge. The sprawling school wore a festive look. The day was graced by the presence of our esteemed guest - Chairman A.P.S Rakhmuthi. The programme was ushered in by the speech delivered by Aastha Sharma of class XC which was followed by a plethora of events. A poem was recited by Rishita Sharma of class IX A which drew unceasing applause by one and all. The House choirs enthralled the audience with the soulful rendition of patriotic songs. The sweet melody of the patriotic songs filled everyone with ecstacy. The event was also marked by a string of spectacular Inter House dance competition which brimmed with enthusiasm and patriotic splendour.
The winners of the song and dance competition were felicitated by the Chief-guest. Chief guest in his address complimented the efforts of the staff and students for putting up a stupendous show. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
