People's participation amust for overall development of Nation: Jugal

JAMMU, Aug 16: 16th August, 2018: As part of Independence Day Cele-brations Regional Outre-ach Bureau, Mini-stry of Information and Broad-casting, Govern-ment of India, J&K organised a three day Photo Exhibition cum cultural programme from 16th to 18th August 2018 on the theme "Desh Ka Badhta Jata Vishwas, Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas" . Inaugurating the function at Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Auditorium, Member of Parliament, Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that People should come forward to contribute for overall development of the Nation. He further emphasised that it is the foremost duty of government to make all out efforts to ensure the benefits of welfare schemes reach to the targeted population.
Jugal Kishore Sharma urged the audience especially the educated youth to come forward to seek information about the developmental schemes of the Governments and also help others avail the benefits of these centrally sponsored schemes. The MP hailed the efforts of field functionaries of various departments of Centre and State to disseminate valuable information in far flung and rural areas.
Speaking on the occasion Director CSIR-IIIM Dr. Ram Vishawkarma stressed on students to adopt scientific outlook in life and three light on the programmes of research undertaken by the institute. In her address Deputy Director RoB, MoI&B, GoI Neha Jalali elaborated upon various activities of the department and objectives of the series of programs being organized on the occasion. The photo exhibition titled "Desh Ka Badhta Jata Vishwas, Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas" highlights the developmental work being done by the government in various sectors. These included information and progress achieved for sectors like health, infrastructure, agriculture, economic Develo-pment, wo-men empowerment, ho-using, promotion of sports etc. The photo exhibition had special emphasis on transparency in governance and steps being initiated to create a corruption free India. Steps like demonetisation and increase in tax base due to GST.
