"The journey of a law student from his induction to becoming a lawyer is a challenging one and does not have a predefined path. The basic purpose of education is to dig out the best in ourselves. The students should unlock the energy latent in them by focus and concentration and apply the law for the benefit of society. For an individual to be an effective lawyer, he must have certain qualities in order to excel in legal profession like articulation, intelligence, power of argumentation based on facts and law and good comprehension skills. Justice Singh also informed students about importance of participation in co-curricular activities and outreach programmes. He asked the students to participate in legal aid and legal awareness programmes to help downtrodden members of civil society and combat other ills, which have afflicted the civil society.
