Kajol wants paparazzi out of star kids’ lives, bats for normal childhood
18/08/2018
Kajol may be a huge star but she certainly doesn’t like paparazzi hounding star kids. Speaking to Mid-Day, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor made her displeasure known in no uncertain words.
“We, as celebrities, signed up for this profession. They are just born into it and shouldn’t be hounded.
Our children are too young to understand that the reason they have cameras around is because their parents are stars,” quoted her as saying.
She added that she had discussed the issue with her two kids Nysa and Yug pretty early in life and that her family now knows how to handle the media attention.
Kajol said she is all for restoring normalcy in children’s lives.
It should be recalled here that in the times of social media, many celebrities share pictures of themselves and that of their kids online.
Kajol’s views come in rather controversial times, when little kids are followed by paparazzi from the time they are born.
Taimur Ali Khan, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu, Karan Johar’s twins Yash and Roohi all have cameras capturing every little detail about them.
In earlier articles, Taimur’s father Saif Ali Khan had been quoted as saying that early on Kareena and he had decided that they won’t shield Taimur from the paparazzi.
Much of this came from the belief that paparazzi in India is not like the west and is fairly benign.
Quite clearly the industry seems divided on the subject.
Meanwhile, Kajol is getting ready with her next release, Helicopter Eela, the trailer of which was released recently.
