SMVDU pays condolence to Vajpayee

JAMMU, Aug 17:A condolence meeting was held at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra at 10.00 am at Open Fountain Area for the former Prime Minister of India, Late Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee who passed away yesterday at the age of 93. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Sanjeev Jain; Registrar Prof. V. K. Bhat, Deans and HoDs, faculty members, staff and students offered their condolence to the departed souls and observed silence.
Also, it was declared that the academic and administrative work shall remain suspended to pay homage to the noble soul.
During his tenure as the Prime Minister of India, Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee captivated the nation with his charismatic personality and also his wit and oratory.
