Two training workshops for PGT’s held at MHAC School

JAMMU, Aug 19: A two day workshop was conducted at MHAC School Nagbani in association with DAVCMC from 18th August, 2018 to 19th August, 2018 for PGT's. The subject areas covered were English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accounts, Business Studies & Economics.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the School Principal, Mrs Sween Puri, ), Dr. K.K Kapoor Professor (Dept. of Chemistry, Jammu University), Dr. Sandeep Arya, Asstt. Professor (Dept. of Physics, Jammu University), Ms. Nupur Sandhu (Psychologist), Resource persons and the Supervisory Heads followed by DAV Gaan. Around 45 faculty members from DAV Schools of Jammu & Punjab Zone actively participated in the workshops. On first day, Ms. Nupur Sandhu took a common session on "New Age Shift, What we feel & how it effects our emotions". She performed a group emotional release session followed by letter writing.
The teachers then reported to different venues. The different methodologies adopted were Power point Presen-tations, Demonstrations, Assignments, and Activi-ties etc.
The objectives of these workshops were to share knowledge among teachers, to discuss strategies for effective involvement of teachers to reach at various solutions and to help students avoid and rectify general errors & enhance communication skills.
On the Second day, Dr. Deepankar Sen Gupta Professor (Dept. of Economics, Jammu University) was the guest of Honour, the day begins with an effective presentation by Principal, Mrs. Sween Puri on "How to Enhance the Qualitative Performance Index".
The facilitators had a lovely experience at the end of the workshops and were found thrilled, energized and equipped enough to implement the two day learning and skills in their teaching.
The day ended with valedictory ceremony, feedback & take away from the participants.
