Governor meets Principal Secretary Finance

SRINAGAR, Oct 17: Principal Secretary Finance Navin Kumar Choudhary met Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan today.
Choudhary informed the Governor about the various initiatives being taken by the Department ; to generate and access resources for giving a fillip to development and growth of the State on a sustainable basis, to infuse financial discipline amongst the public functionaries, to implement fiscal reforms programme for providing fiscal and financial stability to the State. Besides, several important issues pertaining to the department were discussed.
Governor urged the Secretary to ensure that all the indicators of fiscal health of the state should be closely monitored and credible systems for public expenditure management should be put in place in an expeditious manner.
