Muslims join Shobha Yatra in Jammu

JAMMU, OCT 18:Con gratulating people of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Vijayadashmi, Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj (SDNS) Chairman Yudhvir Sethi, who is State General Secretary BJP too today said this victory of good over evil is being replicated by our valiant soldiers in the state by eliminating forces that are inimical to peace. He appreciated those who have launched a collective war against terrorism and said that these are the people who intend to see our state prosperous and progress by leaps and bounds.
Yudhvir Sethi was addressing a large gathering before the Shobha Yatra which was taken out on the occasion of Vijayadashmi. Large number of people drawn from different walks of life including Muslims accompanied the Shobha Yatra and showed their solidarity with Hindus. They said that such occasions provide a common platform where spirit of brotherhood could well be displayed.
Suhail Qazmi senior Jounlist, Shujja Zaffar (Chairman JMF), Imran Qazi (President JMF), Bashir Ahmed, Mouhadin, Showkat Choudhary (President JK Gujjar Federation), Porf. Sujat Khan and others were present.
Main function was organized at the Parade Ground where elaborate security was put in place to ensure peaceful celebrations.
The 'Shobha Yatra' taken out from Deewana Mandir by Sanatan Dharam Sabha and Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj in Jammu after passing through main bazars concluded at Parade Ground where effigies of Ravana, Kumbhkarana and Meghnatha were burnt.
Office bearers of Sansthan Dharam Natak Samaj and Sanatan Dharam Sabha also accompanied the procession and raised religious slogans. People in large numbers participated in the procession and celebrated the occasion with much pomp and show.
