Civil, Police administration attend Pehal function

Porbandar,OCT 19: More than 20 young girls were honoured by the Pehal Charitable Trust (PCT) Porbandar Gujarat under the leadership of Paluden Matka Gadhvi, President, at a glittering function held at Palakhada village in Porbandar district in connection with Mahanavmi and Dusherra festival by the Gayatri Garbi Mandal Palakhada villagers on Thursday.
Pehal Charitable Trust (PCT) floated by the renowned Journalist, Social Activist and Theatre Artist King C Bharati, who is Patron-In-Chief, PCT, in Gujarat with Paluben Matka Gadhvi as the president has been working for the upliftment of the society in local villages and empowerment of women organized, the special award ceremony for the girls participating in traditional Garba during the Navratars.
Those who attended the function include the Bhagvadar Police Station incharge BB Pandiya, specially deputed by Porbandar SP for the occasion alongwith his team Kishore Bhai Joshi, Local Sarpanch Jamnaben Mulshankarbhai Joshi, and Paluben Matka Gadhvi, president of the Pehal Charitable Trust (PCT) besides other trustees including Lakha Bhai, Bhalla Bhai, Gulab Ben, Lilu Ben, Dayben, Laxmiben Bhurabhai Mori and village elders Jivram Bhai Joshi, Ramesh Bhai Joshi and others.
On the occasion girls performed Garba, learned during the Pehal training workshop headed by Samita Manilal Joshi and received special trophies from Pehal Charitable Trust (PCT).
King C Bharati Chief Patron in a message thanked them for their support to Pehal Charitable Trust and assured them that Pehal was conceived for the welfare of the society and its main focus was the welfare and upliftment of adjoining villages of Porbandar besides other parts of the nation.
Paluben while speaking elaborated about the functioning of the Pehal Charitable Trust and also thanked King C Bharati for working selflessly for the benefit of local population particularly for upliftment of women and empowerment of Narishakti.
