Army organised Interaction with Madarasa going children

JAMMU, OCT 20: With a view to foster and reinforce the spirit of communal harmony, Indian Army organised an interaction with Madrassa going children at Sondar, Kishtwar District to promote peace and tranquility in the region. Unity in diversity has been one of the great characteristic of our nation which has bound people of all religions together in one bond of humanity. The event provided a platform to the madrassa going children to interact with Indian Army and share their experiences. A total of 35 children interacted during the event which was culminated with distribution of stationery.
The locals, Community leaders, Children and madrassa teachers lauded the initiative and expressed hope that such initiatives by Army will give a boost to communal harmony in the region and these events provides an opportunity to reaffirm age old traditions and faith in the values of tolerance, co-existence and brotherhood in a multi-cultural and multi-religious society.
