Dr. Jitendra felicitates Pencak Silat medalists

JAMMU, Oct 22: Union MoS in PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh felicitated medalists of 4th Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2018 senior (Men & Women) held at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar from 30th September to 3rd October 2018. BJP State Additional Treas-urer & President of Association Arvind Gupta and Secretary of Association Gourav Arora were also present at the time of felicitation. Dr. Jitendra Singh, while felicitating the Bronze medalists Komal Dhiman and Karan Cho-pra, congratulated them for the feast and wished them all good luck in the future. He said that the sports from an integral part of our personality. Whereas, sport activities keep us physically fit and free from various body ailments, they also give us social and emotional strength. He emphasized that once a person starts practising any active sports, his or performance in other daily chores also improves due to the increased level of activeness and self-belief.
Dr. Jitendra asked the medalists to train more passionately for achieving further heights in the field. He also urged them to work for the promotion of all type of sports in the society, so as to inspire the youth of the Nation.
Sports activities also help in the prevention of spread of various types of drug menace in the society thus contributing in the build up of more productive youth and society, Dr. Jitendra stressed.
Arvind Gupta, while wishing both the medalists, also disclosed that Komal Dhiman is also selected for the world championship to be organized in Singapore next month.
He said that this particular form of sports provides multiple health benefits to the practitioner.
