DDC Rajouri inaugurates new patient care facilities at Govt District Hospital

RAJOURI, OCT 22: District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad inaugurated Transit patient/triage lounge in the emergency department of the Hospital. A transit/triage lounge is a dedicated area preferably near the hospital entrance that helps the timely intervention and treatment after prioritising the patients. The transit lounge is equipped with all the modern facilities.
DDC also threw open emergency/ trauma centre in the emergency department of the hospital to deal with critically sick patients. A thrombolytic lounge has also been started for early intervention during golden hours to thrombolyse Stroke/Myocardial infection cases.
The Mental health ward under National Mental Health Programme has also been inaugurated by DDC where the patients suffering from mental ailments will be provided treatment. DDC said there was an immediate need for this ward in the hospital. It had been a matter of concern that we could not accommodate patients suffering from mental ailments.
DDC also inspected District Early Intervention Centre under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) which is a new initiative aiming at early identification and early intervention for children from birth to 18 years to cover 4 'D's viz. Defects at birth, Deficiencies, Diseases, Development delays including disability.
An ultra-modern mortuary with all sophisticated equipments has been started at District Hospital.
The mortuary has six freezer boxes to preserve dead bodies. Besides, it has a spacious mortuary room and stock room. Latest technology has been invoked in constructing the mortuary. The executing agency SICOP has taken minimum time to finish the work of construction of Mortuary block.
DDC was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Rajouri Dr. Suresh Gupta and Medical Superintendent, Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh, Chief planning officer Rajouri, YoginderKatoch, XEN PWD Mushtaq Ahmed Raina, Assistant Director Planning Bilal Mir and other senior officers of the concerned departments.
