Army organises electrician Training and workshop for youth

JAMMU, OCT 22: As a part of empowering youth of the region for self employment and financial independence, Indian Army has been constantly undertaking a variety of projects and skill development programmes for the youth of the region.
In pursuance of this aim, Indian Army organised an Electrician Training and Workshop for youth from 17 Sep to 21 Oct 2018 in order to generate employment opportunities for the local youth.
A total of 10 youth were imparted with training on all aspects of electrician training by means of practical and theoretical classes by experienced and qualified instructors. After attending the said training, they will have better employment opportunities or become self employed by starting their own work to support their families.
A written and practical test was organised to test the proficiency of these youth by Softek Institute, Kishtwar in order to issue certificates to successful candidates. All the candidates passed the test conducted by Softek institute. On successful completion of electrician training and workshop, all the candidates were presented electrician kits on 22 Oct 2018.
Closing ceremony of electrician training and workshop was attended by a number of Ex-Servicemen and local people of the area. Youth and the locals lauded the efforts of the Army in empowering them to have a better future.
