Kumar inspects Trauma Center, DH Ramban

RAMBAN, NOV 17: Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar on Saturday visited District Hospital (DH) and Trauma Care Center Ramban to take stock of health facilities being provided to the patients in these health institutions besides chalking out a future course of action to bring improvement in healthcare services by way of ensuring upgraded health infrastructure in place, effective management of existing human resource and removing shortage of doctors and paramedical staff and other important initiatives which should be taken immediately to address the core issue.
During the visit, Principal Secretary (PS) Health & Medical Education Atal Dulloo, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, DIG, DKR, Rafiq-Ul-Hassan, SSP, Anita Sharma, CMO, Dr Saif-ud-Din Khan and other concerned officers accompanied the Advisor.
He inspected the Trauma Care Centre and DH,Ramban and took stock of the facilities being provided in the hospital besides reviewing the staff status of both institutions.
He also inspected newly constructed ANMT school complex Ramban and directed the PS, Health and Medical education to make it functional so that local youth can be trained for mitigating shortage of manpower at local level"During the visit, the DC Ramban apprised the Advisor about the major issues of DH Ramban including shortage of doctors and technical staff in health intuitions of district, requirement of more intensive care ambulances. Advisor also interacted with the staff members of the hospital and enquired about their daily duties and progress. Meanwhile Hospital authorities apprised him about steps taken to deal with any kind of eventuality that may arise due to road accidents especially on Jammu and Kashmir National Highway.
He instructed the CMO Ramban to ensure proper functioning of all important medical equipments and machines so that public can take the benefit of available heath facilities.While reviewing the overall working of the hospital he asked for providing best healthcare facilities to people visiting the hospital for the treatment, besides brief discussion was also held on making the Trauma centre fully functional by putting in man power and required machinery and equipments. The Advisor directed the hospital authorities to keep medicines available and other medical facilities in sufficient quantity keeping in mind to meet any exigency.
