Awareness cum training sessions "Eat Right India" held at Banihal

RAMBAN, NOV 17: Crew of Swasth Bharat Yatra organised an training cum awareness programme & interactive session under the banner of FSSAI in collaboration with J&K Food Safety Department at Banihal of district Ramban with a slogan "Eat Right India" Movement.
The function was presided over by Tehsildar, Banihal, Javaid Ahmad Sheikh and Deputy Director, FSSAI, Pritha Gosh was the guest of honours on the occasion whereas general public from walks of life, prominent citizens , students ,traders, ICDS workers, NCC volunteers , Banihal volunteers , Food Technologist FSSAI, Shantnu Gupta ,ZEO Banihal, Cyclst Smarat Mulk, EO MC Banihal and President Banihal Volunteers (NGO) attended the function.
Earlier Dy. Director FSSAI administered the pledge to participants for taking good,safe and healthy food besides adopting healthy life style by joining sports and physical activities.
During the interaction session the speakers were deliberated over the various issues related to Food safety particularly the objectives aim at Swasth Bharat Yatra & stressed for the need of holding such awareness & training programmes which enlighten the consumers regarding the preventive measures for maintaining good & robust health.
The people in general who were scene enthusiastic appreciated the role of Commissioner Food Safety J&k , Dr.Kabir Dar who has been instrumental in exploring the expedition of Swasth Bharat Yatra in state. Later locals requested to the organisers for organising more such awareness programes in future on food safety in rural areas of Ramban district.
