PIL regarding security of Courts
DB seeks inspection report within two weeks

JAMMU, NOV19: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Sumit Nayyar regarding security of High Court Jammu Division as well as District Court Jammu, Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tashi Rabstan after hearing Adv Veenu Gupta for the PIL, directed a joint inspection of the roads and circulation by the competent authority of the Traffic Police, the Fire Services Department, the Health Department and the Registrar General, who shall file a report so as to ensure that there is free circulation of emergency vehicles which would include police vehicles, ambulances as well as fire trucks at all points of time. Let the inspection as above be conducted and completed within ten days from today and compliance report be filed before this Court within two weeks, DB directed.
This significant order has been passed by Division Bench after gone through the status report filed by Senior Superintendent of Police, Security, Jammu which shows that the status of free circulation in the Court complex is not satisfactory.
