Gulati brothers to remain in police custody for another four days

JAMMU, Nov 20: In a much publicised bail application filed on behalf of Shalendra Gulati and Sandeep Gulati the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu has reserved the bail application filed by the accused brothers. After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi along with Vishal Mahajan on behalf of the accused brothers and Senior Advocate P N Raina along with Yasser Ejaz Tak and Rajat Gupta advocates on behalf of the complainant, the court has reserved the bail application for orders and kept the matter on 24.11.2018.
Shallender Gulati and Sandeep Gulati were arrested by Crime Branch in FIR 36/2018 under section 420,120-B IPC. Gulati Brothers had duped the complainant namely Navneet Mahajan by entering into an agreement. A deal was struck between the complainant and accused brothers for Rs. 26 Crore for purchase of prime land situated at Kunjwani Jammu belonging to the accused brothers out of which 13 croreruppees were paid to the accused brothers by the complanant and as per the agreement the said amount had to be deposited by the accused brothers in releasing the land mortgaged with the bank. However the acussed persons instead of releasing the land mortgaged duped the complainant of Rs 13 crore. The complainant approached the Crime Branch Jammu and during investigation it was found out that duo brothers had duped the complainant of Rs.13 crore and accordingly the Crime Branch registered the FIR and arrested the accused brothers.
