JKIANS bring laurels to school

JAMMU, DEC 12: Jammu District Judo Championship was held at MA Stadium from 6th to 8th Dec., 2018. This tournament was organised by J&K Judo association under the aegis of J&K state Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association.Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer was the chief guest and Shilpa Mahajan, Corporator Ward no. 6 was the guest of honour. Around 300 Judokas from different schools participated in the championship. Such events make the student active both physically as well as mentally which results in their overall development.
JKPS has always encouraged its students to participate in such events and provide them proper training and coaching. This time also JKIANS brought laurels to school by winning certain medals in this Jammu District Judo Championship and the students were trained by Mr.Rajesh. The students who got medals were Gurpreet Saini, Kanshit Chanyal, Ananya, Akshita, Manvi Sharma and Yuvraj. Silver medal was bagged by Manvi Bogul, Divya Taniya Thappa, Vikrant, Suhana, Aarav, Yuvraj, Angel, Akrshit and Deeraj Bhardwaj. Bronze medal was won by Udayvir, Mohd. Mudassir, Hirdesh, Janardhan, Tanavi, Anvi, Akrahit, Pranav, Karan and Sanchi.
Mr. S.K Singh, principal JKPS congratulated the students and coach for showcasing such brilliant performance.
