DDC Ramban reviews status of languishing PHE projects

RAMBAN, DEC 14: District Development Commissioner, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, on Friday chaired a meeting to review the status of various languishing PHE projects in the district.
The meeting attended by officers and engineers of Public Health Engineering (PHE) department including CPO, Uttam Singh, AD planning, Ganesh Kumar, Executive Engineer PHE, Bashir Amhed, AEEs, AEs and JEs.
It was informed in the meeting that a total of 35 schemes stand approved under the languishing projects and the total amount released for the approved schemes is Rs 85 crore.
The DDC was informed that work on 8 languishing water supply schemes in different parts of district will be completed before March 2019 at a cost of Rs. 7.64 crore.
He directed the officers to submit the progress report of all taken up projects along with photographs and videos. He also reviewed the status of water supply schemes for Ramban, Banihal and Batote towns and those for the rural and far flung areas.
A detailed discussion was held on various issues related to effective implementation of core development schemes in the district.
The DDC directed the concerned to gear up their men and machinery for effective and timely completion of developmental projects.
