JMC demolishes unauthorized constructions

JAMMU, Dec 15: Further continuing and intensifying the drive against the unauthorized constructions and during the field visit by Mr. Pankaj Magotra (KAS), Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation and Pardeep Singh (KAS), Joint Commissioner (Adm.), the Enforcement Staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer demolished one no. of Shop which was being raised by Mr. Ranjit Singh at Sector-3 opposite Easy Day Channi Himmat Jammu and also sealed the building of Mr. Raman Sharma at Sector-3 Channi Himmat, Jammu.The above said constructions had been raised unauthorizedly and in violation of the building plan. The Jammu Municipal Corporation initiated the action under the provisions of J&K Control of Building Operation Act 1998.
Further, the Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to the General Public to refrain from making illegal constructions and get building plans whether commercial/ residential approved from Jammu Municipal Corporation otherwise action as admissible under rules leading to demolition/ sealing of the building will be taken against the violators.
