Peaks XI wins opening 6-a-Side Hockey tie


JAMMU, JAN 12: Peaks XI won the inaugural match of the 2nd Joginder Kour Memorial Hockey Cup Six-A Side Tournament organised to regenerate interest among the veterans and involve those young boys at Bhargav Public High School grounds, Gadigarh, here today.The Peaks XI defeated Singh Club Bandurakh 7-6 in the high scoring well contested game. In all, six teams are taking part in this knock-out tournament.
The match officiated by the technical penal including Ranbir Singh, Joginder Singh, Jagmeet Singh and Jasvinder Singh.Earlier, the event declared open by Station House Officer (SHO) Satwari, Manjeet Singh while Sports Medicine specialist, Dr Sanjogita Soodan was guest of honour. Among others present were Prithpal Singh, Vikas Bhargav and Amrik Singh.
