Wetland Day: DERS holds awareness event for students

UDHAMPUR, JAN 19: The Directorate of Environment and Remote Sensing (DERS), today organised a Symposium/Painting Competition on the topic "Role of Wetlands in Climate Change" at Anand Bhartiya High School, Ban Rathian.
The event was held in connection with the Wetland day being observed on 2nd February, every year.
About 400 students alongwith the faculty members participated in the programme.
Mementos and Trophies along with appreciation Certificates were awarded to the winners by the Directorate of Environment and Remote Sensing.
DFO Environment, Kuldeep Kumar, alongwith staff of the Directorate organised the event. Abhisheik Padha, a Social Worker and expert in the field evaluated the participants.
