Natrang’s Children Winter Workshop concludes

Jammu, Jan 20: Children Winter Workshop-2019' concluded here today with the staging of highly meaningful and though provoking Hindi play 'Panchi Aise Aayenge' written by Vivek Mridul and directed by Neeraj Kant.
Welcoming the august gathering, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur presented an-over view of Natrang's initiative of introducing Theatre amongst children. He informed that theatre can magically change a child's personality and empowers him/her to meet any challenge in life. Natrang has been organising regular children workshops in Jammu since 1990 and till date have trained over 5000 children in the art of theatre. Majority of them are now the top professionals of the country. The best way to transform the personality of the children is to introduce them to the best of theatre. The children play 'Panchi Aise Aayenge' in a very intelligent manner presented a highly theme of environment conservation. The story revolves around a young boy 'Monu' who is found of migratory birds. Once in dream he sees that migratory birds back in Siberia are refusing to come to India for the reason that they will hardly get appropriate space and environment with the growing deforestation and environmental degradation. Realizing this Monu pledges to start a movement to sensitize general public about this serious lapse of the society as majority of Indian cities are becoming gas chambers with urbanization and growing concrete Jungles. With the help of fellow children he initiates a movement and finally succeeds in that and migratory words also agree to come to India on witnessing the improvement in the environment.
The valedictory function marked the presentation of appreciation certificates to the participating Children by Mrs Sheetal Nanda IAS, Secretary Rural Development who was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Those honoured included Aaria Zia Sharma, Suhani Gupta, Abhinandan Nangla, Aahana Sharma, Chaitanya Sharma, Samaksh Gupta, Samrat Sharma, Palshin Dutta, Love Bali, Aditri Dewan, Samaira Dewan, Lavanya Gupta, Arnav Gupta, Saanvi Anand, Petunia Singh, Arshiya Singh, Mannan Soni, Mannat Soni, Anah Sharma, Devisha Gour, Samarth Katiyal, Shristi Kapoor, Aviral Kapoor, Sanchi Dutta, Sankalp Chatterjee, Sanchoyita Chatterjee, Priyal Gupta, Rudra Kohli and Soujanya Shekhar.
