Court denies bail in minor rape case

REASI, FEB 12: Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandita today rejected the bail plea of Hem Raj who allegedly imvolved in rape with minor.
Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandita after hearing both the sides observed that The prosecutrix in this case is minor and was impregnated by the accused by deceitful means and from the record available at present there are reasonable grounds for believing that the accusation against the accused are prima facie true. Moreover the offences alleged to have been committed by accused are very heinous in nature as he has spoiled the life of minor girl ( prosecutrix ). The offence of rape is considered to be a crime not against an individual but a crime which destroys the basic equilibrium of the society. The incident of rape creates an incurable dent in the fabric of the social milieu and society as the whole is compelled to suffer. Therefore, while considering what has been stated herein above and without going into the merits of the case, the accused person herein failed to convince this court for enlargement on bail. Consequently, bail petition is dismissed. JNF
