Luthra School celebrates Annual Day

Jammu, Feb 13: Luthra Public Schools, Palace Road/Talab Tillo, along with Shemrock Icons & Angels jointly celebrated 60th Annual day cum prize distribution ceremony with great pomp & show at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC was the Chief Guest & function was presided over by Joint commissioner JMC- Mr. Pradeep Manhas. Sunaina Sharma (KAS), Secretary JMC and Mohd. Alyas Khan (KAS), Deputy Director, Estate Dept, J&K Govt. were the Guests of Honour the galaxy of special guests were Padam Balwant Thakur, director Natrang, I.D Soni, commissioner Scouts & Guides, Dr. Salim Khan, Health officer JMC, Kamal Gupta, president J&K, PSA, Mr. Gourav Chopra, Municipal Corporator & several other members of J&K private schools association.
The small kids of Shemrock, mesmerized audiances with their superlative & cute performances. Moreover, performance like Shiva Tandav, Punjabi Bhangra, classical Indian dances aroused the feeling of enthusiasm among the audiance. Musical performances including very famous dogri song like Jeena Pahaden Da got standing applauses from every one present there Chairman, Mr. Rajeev Luthra gave the historical overview, development & achievements, both academics & co-curricular achievements of both the institutions Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta blessed the students with cash prizes & Medals & prayed to All-Mighty for progress of Luthra Public Schools by Leaps & bounds. He advised students to give adequate respect to their mentors & parents & beware them to keep away from drug menace. He stressed the students to keep their school & surrounding neat & clean, grow trees and revive Indian traditional games like Kho-Kho & Kabadi, which will give them physical Strength also.
Sanjeev Luthra, Managing Director, Luthra Academy also spoke about achievements of the Institutions. Along with him, Mr. Abhishek Luthra, Dean Academics, motivated the students with his own poem entitled 'Himmat Kar aur ho taiyar'. At the end, vote of thanks was presented by Mrs. Anuradha Luthra, Principal, Luthra Public School.
