SRTC VREA holds protest; highlight demands

JAMMU, Feb 13: A demonstration and sit dharna was conducted on Wednesday 13th Feb.2019 at 10.30 A.M. at Press Club Exhibition ground Jammu under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali President of VRS Union Jammu and in this demonstration it has been highly condemned the attitude of the Finance Department and Transport Department of J&K Govt. as these two are shuttling the VRS IGHS employees for their dues for the last-more than 8 years and we are struggling for our 50% balance payments of our legitimate dues for cost of living allowance (COLA) arrears, bill of which comes to Rs.16,76,49,497.00 and 6th pay commission arrears and bonus @8.33%. "It is apparent that Finance Department and Transport Department are in connivance in this conspiracy and ' we have been unnecessarily grind.
Now we appeal to His Excellency, the Governor J&K State to please personally intervene into issue so that our balance 50% payments be released in. our favour as we have been struggling for the last more than 8 years. And we will be so grateful to His. Excellency for good governance," They added.
In the said demonstration and sift dharna among others there Surinder Singh, Balwinder Singh, Prem Nath, B.B.Sharma, Shiv Kumar, Sulshan Singh, Khadam Hussain and others were also present.
