EVM/VVPAT training held by JMC

JAMMU, FEB 13: A training regarding Electronic Voter Machine/ Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT ) conducted at Conference Hall of Jammu Mun icipal Corporation by the Master Trainers on 13.02.2019 in presence of Sh. Pardeep Singh (KAS), Joint Commissioner (A) and Ms. Sunaina Sharma(KAS), Secretary, JMC During the course of training, Print and Electronic media persons and Officials of Jammu Municipal Corpor ation were aware about new technique of VVPAT which shall be used during upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The aim of imparting training to media persons is to create awareness among the voters about new technique of VVPAT, the VVPAT shall help the voters to see to whom they have casted their votes.
While using VVPAT, a light shall also be displayed for 7 seconds which shall help the voters to actually verify their votes.
The Electronic and Print Media appreciated the step for introducing VVPAT and added that it will help the young voters to cast their votes in a right way.
Among others, Asstt. Commi ssioner(Rev.), Mr.Prem Singh(KAS), Chief Accounts Officer, Joginder Sharma , Revenue Officers, Election Naib Tehsil dar (Election) and concerned Officials of Election Wing of JMC.
