HCBA protests killing of CRPF of jawans at Pulwama

JAMMU, Feb 15: The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, under the Presidentship of B.S. Slathia, with an active participation of large number of lawyers, today lodged a massive protest outside the Court premises, against the dastardly terrorist attack on a CRPF Convoy at Pulwama Srinagar, on 14-02-2019, wherein more than 50 CRPF Soldiers/ Jawans were Martyred. After holding the protest demonstration, the lawyers under the banner of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, took out a peaceful and impressive protest procession from J&K High Court Complex, Janipur Jammu, raising pro-security forces slogans, which passed through the Main Bazars of Jammu City. The lawyers in one voice expressed their complete solidarity with the security forces and their families and stressed that the Martyrdom of Jawans must motivate the Government to unleash a final and fatal blow to the menace of terrorism.
The lawyers abstained from work in the High Court & Subordinate Courts in Jammu today on 15-02-2019. The main entry gate was closed and nobody was allowed to enter the Court premises. This apart, various Bar Associations of Jammu province at District & Tehsil levels also abstained from work and protested against the dastardly act of the militants upon CRPF Jawans at Pulwama Srinagar, in which more than 50 Jawans scarifised their life for the nation.
The Lawyers in the peaceful march were raising slogans against Pakistan and its sponsored anti-national agents responsible for the Pulwama attack. The lawyers also raised the slogans " Anti-Nationals " Quit Jammu" "Quit Jammu" The peaceful procession of lawyers passed through main bazars of Jammu viz Janipur, New Plots, Ambphala, Kachi Chowani, Prade, Purani Mandi, City Chowk Shalamar Road, , Raghunath Bazar, Shahidi Chowk, Residency Road, Bus Standand, Jewel Chowk and culminated at Shahidi-Sathal GGM Science College, Jammu, which was led by Sh. B.S. Slathia, Sr. Advocate and other office bearers of the Association namely S/Sh. Sachin Gupta, Adv, Vice President, Prem N. Sadotra, Adv. General Secretary, Himanshu Sharma, Adv, Joint Secretary & Chetan Misri, Adv. Treasurer and other members of the Association.
