JAMMU, Feb 20: Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir led by its State President Ravinder Raina accompanied by State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul and State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh held a meeting of its senior leaders at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and decided that BJP will observe "Ek Deep-Shaheedon Ke Naam" on February 26.
BJP State All Morcha Incharge Mnish Sharma, State IT & Social Media Incharge Jaidev Rajwal and State Addl. Publicity Secretary Ajay Vaid were also present in the meeting.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, said that the BJP salutes the Indian Forces, which has a long history of sacrifices made for securing the country both within our own borders as well as on the border.
The valiant soldiers have always faced the death but they never have ever shown their back. But our neighbor country Pakistan which is a rogue Nation, has never dared to face us since its inception in 1947 and resorted to proxy means for its devilish motives, he said.
The mischief of Pakistan has touched new low, when the terrorism nurtured by it as its state policy has challenged us by taking the precious lives of our brave warriors in most inhumane way. BJP always stands to support our forces in every way. In order to pay our respect to the martyred soldiers of Pulwama attack on the 13th day of tragedy, the BJP has decided to light earthen lamps at the homes of our party workers and all sympathizers from 06:00 p.m. to 09:30 p.m., while observing "Ek Deep-Shaheedon Ke Naam", Ravinder Raina said.
Ashok Kaul, while speaking in the meeting, prompted the BJP leaders to play lead role in ensuring that the event is observed at the maximum places to show our support to the forces and respect to the martyrs who laid their precious lives for the country. He emphasized that the Civil society members be also involved for observing the event to homage to the brave warriors of India.
