Court issues show cause notice to SSP Jammu as to why contempt shall not be framed

Jammu, Mar 9: Railway Magistrate Jammu Yahaya Firdous in complaint filed by Adv Vikram Rathore against DSP Traffic and SHO Traffic, issued notice to SSP Jammu as to why contempt shall not be framed. Court also issued bailable warrants of DySP Traffic DS Katoch and SHO Traffic & ors to the tune of Rs 10,000/-. This significant direction has been passed in a complaint filed by Adv Vikram Rathore.
During the course of hearing, Court observed that prosecution sought time to apprise the court regarding the compliance of order dated December 20, 2018 by virtue of which SSP Jammu was directed to execute warrants of DSP Traffic, SHO Traffic and two constables.
Court took serious note of the prosecution for non-serious attitude of prosecution for not filling the compliance report on behalf of SSP Jammu and further observed that this Court is constrained to issue notice to SSP Jammu seeking explanation as to why a contempt shall not be framed against SSP Jammu for non-compliance of the order.
