Poll arrangements finalized in Doda

DODA, APRIL 13: A high-level meeting of the concerned officers was held here today in which the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of the April 18 Lok Sabha Elections in the district were finalized.
The meeting was chaired by the District Election Officer Doda Dr Sagar D. Doifode. ADDC Doda, ARO Doda, ARO Bhaderwah, SSP Doda, ACR Doda, ASP Doda, ACD Doda besides Nodal officers were also present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed all election-related matters like deployment of polling staff, magistrates and security personnel, distribution of poll material, functioning of constituted teams, transportation etc.
The basic facilities kept available at the polling stations, establishment of strong rooms, regulation of traffic and parking, communication plan etc. were also discussed in the meeting.
It was informed that in view of the inclement weather conditions polling parties for Doda and Bhaderwah assembly segments will be dispatched on April 16 morning so that they reach at earliest on their respective polling stations.
The District Election Officer exhorted upon the officers to work with utmost dedication and in coordination with each other for free, fair and peaceful conduct of the elections.
