BLSKS concludes Navratra Festival

JAMMU, APRIL 13: Today Chaitra Navratra Festival 2019 organized by Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) was concluded& presented its 256thRegular Saturday Series Musical Play "Mai Diyan Chuniya" in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production as a part of its regular feature at open air theatre Durga Bhawan, Janipur, Jammu. The function was inaugurated after lighting the Traditional Lamp by the Chief Guest Sh.V.K.Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity ,Government of India &Dr.Tara Singh Charak , Former Deputy Director ,Health Departm ent ,J&K Government , Sh. Davinder Chadha, Head Pujari, Durga Bhawan Jammu&J.K.Raina, Freelancer Producer Director were the Guests of Honor.
The programme commenced with welcome song "Jai Jai Sheranwali" , "Mayia he mahiya meri Mahiya " , "Tum Durga Tum Laxmi Tum Hi Maa Sheranwali". Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest said Festival of Navratri is full of lights, joy and festivity. Hindus celebrate this with devotion and enthusiasm throughout India.
The celebration is carried on for ten days and the last four days are very important.
Navratri means nine nights and so the tenth day Goddess Durga, who is worshipped throughout the nine days, is immersed in holy water after pooja. Each and everyday has its importance and meaning. People worship Goddess in three forms and try to enhance their physical, mental and spiritual practice in these nine days and lauded the role of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan -(NGO) for underlining the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the state in generating awareness among the masses about various social evils through Musical Play / Theatre / Drama which are still very powerful medium of communication.
"Mai Diyan Chuniya" Musical Play Written, Produced and Directed by Sh.M.L.Dogra (Chairman BLSKS) & highlighted the importance of the play , the music was assisted by Mr.Raju Bajgal. During the Navratra Festival BLSKS presented 9 Programs at Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu and more than11 thousand people witness the programe.
