Meeting regarding sanitation work held

Jammu, Apr 15: Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta today on 15-4-2019 conveyed a meeting at Town Hall Jammu in connection with expediting the work of sanitation in all the wards of Jammu Municipal Corporation in proper way. The meeting was also attended by councilor of ward no.16 Rajinder Sharma alongwith Pardeep Singh Manhas , Joint Commissioner (A), Dr. Saleem Khan, Health Officer , Darshan Kumar , Sanitation Officer and all the sanitary Inspectors of Jammu Municipal Corpor-ation Sanitary Inspectors putforth their suggestions before the Mayor such as deployment of autos with jek system alongwith two Skc's in each ward, providing of vehicle in each ward & deployment of more Skc's especially in newly extended wards. Hon'ble Mayor listened to their problems regarding sanitation & also asked them to work in the field with more dedication & responsibility and stressed them to personally visit the wards and door to door collection should thoroughly be covered in every ward & revenue collection may be expedited as well as cutting of china grass & fogging should be started as to prevent any type of spreading of dengue in coming summer season.
Mayor also directed the field staff to get the areas of Bus stand, Airport , Railway station etc be thoroughly cleaned up as these are the entrance points of tourists as well as all the rotaries within Jammu city may be made attractive by planting more & more green plants. He also directed the officers present in the meeting to properly cover all the open collection points in the city so that garbage donot scatter there & become breeding place for mosquitoes & flies.
