Khanna, other BJP leaders visit kishtwar

JAMMU, APRIL 15: BJP National Vice President & Prabhari Jammu Kashmir BJP, Avinash Rai Khanna, alongwith former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas and State General Secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul, visited the residence of RSS senior activist Chanderkant Sharma at Kishtwar and expressed their condolences with the family of the bereaved social figure of erstwhile Doda district, who got martyrdom few days ago when he and his PSO were attacked and killed.
Avinash Rai Khanna and other leaders, while terming the killing of Chanderkant Sharma as an attempt to silence the voice of the nationalist forces and terrorise the Hindu minority in the region, said that the anti-national forces will not succeed in their game plan and that the entire cadre of BJP as well as the citizens of the country stand with the minority community in Kishtwar. He said that even in the past, the Nationalist forces, the minorities have laid down their lives for saving the region from attacks of Pakistan and its sponsored terrorist groups.
On his return from Kishtwar, Avinash Rai Khaana, called on State Governor, Satya Pal Malik and apprised him of the prevailing situation in Kishtwar after the killing of Chanderkant Sharma and others and urged upon him to direct the administration to take immediate and effective steps to ensure safety of the minorities and nab the culprits at the earliest.
