JKPS organises Aquatic Meet

JAMMU, Apr 18: Swimming is a good all-round activity as it keeps one's heart rate up but takes some of the stress off the body, builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness.
J K Public School, Kunjwani witnessed its Aquatic Meet Open on 18.04.2019 (2019-2020), in the swimming pool area. The event was graced with the presence of Mr Ravi Kesar, Chairman J&K Pollution Board as Chief Guest. The other dignitaries present were Mr. Raj Daluja, Chairman J K Educational Society, Mr. Gautam Daluja, Ms. Shashi Choudhary, Director, J K Educational Society .
Mr.S.K. Singh, Principal, J K Public School, Kunjwani , welcomed the Chief Guest with his address followed by welcome song by school choir. Later the dignitaries stepped forward for the Pooja of the pool followed by briefing of the stepping stones of school by Mr.S.K. Singh.
Thereafter the Chief Guest declared the Aquatic Meet Open.
The young budding talents of J K Public School showcased the tints of Indian culture through folk dance which was mesmerizing.
The swimming pool had a very festive and colorful look .Swimmers of all age groups and classes participated with full vigor. More than 120 students came together to showcase their swimming powers by displaying their swimming skills in varied styles like Free Style, Back Stroke and Breast Stroke .The event after event saw a display of beautiful sportsmanship as swimmers dove into the inviting water and specially made their way through the length of the pool .
There were moments of breadth taking sporting ability as some swimmers easily outstripped the others in the lanes next to them .The clappers and splashes echoed throughout the swimming pool with enthusiastic swimmers diving in and coming out of the pool .
The junior and senior wing demonstrated their virtuosity through Aquatic Dance which enthralled the premises.
Mr. Raj Daluja, Chairman J K Educational Society felicitated the chief guest with a memento as a token of respect and honor.
