Mayor chairs meeting, tours city areas

JAMMU, APRIL 18: Continuing the drive for providing better basic facilities to the people of Jammu city Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 18/04/2019 toured the areas of Nasib Nagar, Janipur Housing Colony, Buta Nagar etc of ward no.38 alongwith Councilor Surinder Sharma, Taj Chowdhary, XEN (UEED), Dr. Saleem Khan, Health Officer, JMC, XEN PHE, Transport Officer of JMC & other Officers of various departments. The Mayor took stock of the various problems put forth by the general public of these areas which includes disliting of drain & nallahs, better sanitation, proper fogging, lifting of stray animals, plugging of leakage water pipes, providing of neat, clean & sufficient water in their ward during the summer season & also renovation/construction of nallah flowing through their ward in proper way. Mayor directed the concerned officer on spot to resolve the issues raised by the inhabitants of ward no.38 on war footing. The people thanked the Mayor for personally visiting their locality & listened to their grievances.
Mayor also conveyed a meeting of Sanitary Supervisors at town hall Jammu, Vikas Sharma, Commissioner JMC, Dr. Saleem Khan, Health Officer also attended the meeting.
Mayor directed all the sanitary supervisors to work in their respective wards with more dedication & hard work to the expectation of general public in order to improve sanitation of the city.
Sanitary Supervisors also putforth their demands such as regularization of their colonies, establishment of Municipal sub office in each ward, early release of 2 ½ days salary, timely disbursing of salaries of daily wager SKC's, clearance of welfare fund file of Skc's .
The Hon'ble Mayor assured that their genuine demands will be resolved at an earliest.
