BLSKS celebrates World Heritage Day

JAMMU, APRIL 18: To celebrate the World Heritage Day and to promote the traditional folk cultural of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production & National College of Computer Education presented Musical Play "SAHARA DUGGAR" as parts of its regular feature at open air theatre Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu. The World Heritage Day 2019 theme is RURAL LANDSCAPES . The programme commenced with welcome song "Shub Swagtam" presented by the artists of BLSKS and lighting of traditional lamp by the Chief Guest / Guest of honors. The programe was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr.Anju Dogra, Health Department, J&K Governme nt, Sh.V.K. Magotra, Former Regional Director, Director ate of Field Publicity ,Gove rnment of India , Dr.Anu priya Sharma, President Medical Cell J&K were the Guest of Honor. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest said that the World Heritage Day is observed every year on April 18 to celebrate and promote cultural heritage across the world. The objective of World Heritage Day is to emphasize the importance of safeguarding various sites around the world that have achieved world heritage status and the challenges involved in protecting these sites. The song sung by the artists are "Jammu Sada dogrya da shear " , "Apun Jagna Duen Gi Jagana" ," Hum Sab Ek Hai " , " Vishwas Ki Rah Par Hum Chle", " Desh Sada Dogra Se pesh Sada Dogra", "Kali Mata Bawe Basdi", the music was composed by renowned singer of J&K Sh.Raju Bajgal.
