Army conducts debate competition

JAMMU, APRIL 19: Indian Army organised a Debate Competition on the topic "Good and Bad Effects of Science and Technology" at Government High Secondary School, Keri. The event was witnessed by a large number of students, teachers & local populace. 10 students participated in the competition and 35 students attended the event. The participants displayed excellent understanding and knowledge of the topic and brought out pertinent issues. The oratory skills of the students were greatly appreciated by the audience. Such events motivate the students to acquire knowledge, do research work and be able to participate in such events with confidence. The winners and runners up were suitably awarded. Conduct of extra curricular activities like these provides a platform for students to keep themselves abreast with studies and current affairs which will be helpful in overall development of the children. The participants and school teachers expressed desire that more such events to be held in the future as well.
