DDC Ramban inspects offices, holds public outreach camp at Neel Batoo

RAMBAN, May 20: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Showkat Aijaz Bhat today conducted one day extensive tour of Neel area of Banihal besides took stock of availability of essential commodities and progress of development works.
DDC conducted public outreach camp at Batoo Neel where he interacted with the public and heard their grievances, besides passing on spot directions for its redressal.
Various Officers of different departments, Sarpanches, Panches and general public from the surrounding areas were attended the camp.
During the camp the grievances of the public were patiently listened and their redressal were sought from the present officer of the concerning department on the spot.
Speaking on the occasion DDC said that the aim of holding Public Grievances Redressel Camp is to provide an opportunity to every individual to raise their issues before administration and their on spot redressal besides taking the governance at door step of people.
He directed the officers to ensure availability of Ration, LPG, Kerosene oil and other items besides ensuring water and power supply especially during the Ramadan.
He also paid surprise visit in various offices and institutions at Banihal including SDM office, Tehsildar office, Municipal office, Government Higher Secondary School Boys, Sub District Hospital, Banihal. He directed the officers to remain in contact with the people and pay regular visits to remote and far-flung areas to build confidence among people for district administration besides ensuring basic facilities for public.
