HC restrains PSC from filling-up 19 posts of AE

JAMMU, JUNE 1: In a petition filed by Ashish Sharma & Ors seeking quashment of the Notification No. 07-PSC (DR-P) of 2019 dated 26-04-2019 issued by the respondent no.2 and the minutes of meeting dated 23-04-2018 held in the office of the respondent no. 3, whereby all the candidates including petitioners possessing the qualification of B.E Electronics and communication have been declared ineligible and debarred from applying under the said notification for filling up 58 posts of Assistant Engineers (Electric) in the Power Development Department .
Justice Sanjeev Kumar after hearing Adv Abhinav Sharma appearing for petitioner issued notice to the respondents and directed that the petitioners shall be allowed to participate in the selection process.
However, their result shall not be declared till next date of hearing . It is further provided that till the matter is considered by this Court, 19 posts of Assistant Engineers (Electric) pursuant to the impugned notification dated 26.04.2019, shall not be filled up. JNF
