J&K Grameen Bank conducts awareness programmes

JAMMU, JUNE 20: J&K Grameen Bank conducted awareness programmes on the theme "Back to Village" starting from June 20th to 27th, 2019 under Regional Offices Rajouri & Bandipora.
J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of Sh. Janak Raj Angural organized programmes in rural branches of the bank on the theme "Back to the Village".Janak Raj Angural, Chairman J&K Grameen Bank, informed the media that this is a first-of-its-kind, an ambitious initiative taken by J&K government to reach out to people at the grassroot level through a programme named as 'Back to the Village'.
He added thatEach and every rural branch of J&K Grameen Bank is scheduled to conduct camp in their respectiveconcerned village panchayats while laying adequate focus towards government schemes, economic potential, undertaking assessment of banking/insurance need/s of the villages and increasing the spread of financial inclusion across nook and corner of the state. A total of 8 such camps were held today under Regional Offices Rajouri & Bandipora.Assistant Commissioner (Sales Tax), Waseem Raja, being Chief Guest at one of the camps held at BO Panzinara said, the objective of the programme, 'Back to the Village' will focus on four main goals viz., energizing panchayats, collecting feedback on delivery of government schemes/programmes, capturing specific economic potential and undertaking assessment of needs of the village. He said the programme will involve the people of the state and government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development across all our rural areas.
