ACB Doda conducts Joint Surprise Check of Soil & water Conservation Department Batote

JAMMU, Jun 21: Anti-Corruption Bureau teams on the basis of a complaint against officers/ officials of soil & water conservation department Batote Range regarding embezzlement of huge amount of money against un-executed and non-existent works under catchment area treatment (CAT) plan during the year 2014-2018 in Kuntwara range comprising units Seel, Shaie, Arnora & Badroon Ghat conducted Joint Surprise Check in the office of Project officer Soil Conservation located at Bagliar Batote.
During Joint Surprise Check record/ documents were taken into custody by the ACB for scrutiny to find out the role and responsibility of the officers/ officials in alleged scam.
During JSC, the ACB also conducted spot inspection at various locations in Doda in association with the officers/ officials of the said department.
After completion of the scrutiny of record further course of action into the matter shall be taken accordingly.
