Adopt Yogic lifestyle to overcome lifestyle diseases & discover peace within: Zorawar

Jammu, Jun 21: Shri Ram Chandra Mission along with Heartfulness Yoga and Meditation Centre, Seorra, Camp Gole Gujral Jammu celebrated International Yoga Day by organizing fortnight long Yog Shivar that concluded here today.
Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal was the chief guest on the occasion while Sat Pal Karloopia, Corporator Ward No. 32 and Dr. Anil Chandan, Excise Taxation Officer (ETO), Jammu were the guests of honour. The function was presided over by Centre Coordinator, Capt (Hony.) R S Manhas and attended by residents of the adjoining localities.
In his address, Chairman, Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal dwelt at length on the importance of the day and advised people to adopt yogic lifestyle to overcome lifestyle diseases and stay healthy by learning to manage stress through yoga and discover peace and happiness within. While emphasizing the need to learn Yoga especially to youth, he said that there have been so many studies at national and international level that clearly comes with observations that Yoga has been most vibrant way helping drug addicts to make a come-back in mainstream.
Dr. Chandan and Sat Pal Karloopia also spoke on the occasion. They advised the participants to continue their practice regularly. Earlier, the function started with lighting of Yog-Jyoti by the dignitaries and welcome address by Ashwani Thakur. Yoga students who had practiced Yog Asanas with Heart-fulness Wellness Yoga Teacher, Arun Jandial in the fortnight- long camp here displayed various yoga postures. More than 50 inhabitants of different age group including women, elderly, youth and boys and girls students of adjoining localities including Seohrra, Nandini, Trilokpur, Ranjit pura, Ponichak, Ajit Colony, Kharrian were benefitted by the yoga classes. Aditya, Monika, Muskan and Raghvi spoke on different aspects of Yoga.
