Army organised awareness Lecture on 'Government welfare infrastructure schemes In J&K' In Poonch & Rajouri

JAMMU, JUNE 22: A series of lectures on "Government Welfare Infrastructure Schemes in J&K" was conducted by Indian Army at Government High School, Ptahanteer, Kulali, Kotli, Mitthidhara and Youth Centre, Palma in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
The aim of the lecture was to spread awareness amongst the people of Poonch and Rajouri districts about various welfare schemes being run by Government of India such as 'Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana (Saubhagya Schemes), Chief Minister's Business Interest Relief Scheme, Social Security for Marginal Workers (Contributory Social Security Scheme), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Purchase of Machinery Equipment, Free Insurance Scheme, Aasra Scheme and Development of Bus Addas Schemes etc. The audience were also made aware about the procedures for applying for these schemes and getting benefited. Off late it was realised that due to no or poor mobile and internet connectivity in the far-flung regions, the citizens have not been able to get the updated information about various welfare infrastructure schemes planned for them.
Large number of youth and other prominent civilians of Poonch and Rajouri districts participated in the event.
The locals appreciated the initiative and they expressed their gratitude for the knowledge imparted to them. Such events definitely have a lasting impact on populace of remote areas as they increase their awareness towards knowing their rights in a democratic society.
